1. Introduction

Welcome to RescueMe.ie. RescueMe.ie is a digital platform that connects motorists with independent roadside assistance providers across Ireland.

By accessing or using the RescueMe.ie website or mobile application ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Nature of the Platform

RescueMe.ie operates solely as a technology platform that connects motorists with independent roadside assistance providers including recovery operators, mobile tyre fitters, jump-start providers and vehicle transport services.

RescueMe.ie:

  • Does not provide roadside assistance services
  • Does not employ recovery operators
  • Does not own or operate tow trucks or recovery vehicles
  • Does not control or manage services provided by independent operators

All services arranged through the Platform are carried out directly between the customer and the independent service provider.

3. Independent Service Providers

All roadside services available through RescueMe.ie are provided by independent third-party operators.

Each provider is responsible for:

  • Their own business operations
  • Maintaining valid insurance
  • Compliance with all legal and licensing requirements
  • The quality and safety of the services they provide

RescueMe.ie does not guarantee the availability, response time or quality of services provided by any operator.

4. Limitation of Liability

RescueMe.ie is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury or dispute arising from services provided by independent operators.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Damage to vehicles
  • Mechanical issues following recovery
  • Delays in response time
  • Pricing disputes
  • Personal injury

Any disputes relating to services must be resolved directly between the customer and the service provider.

5. Payments

Payments for services may be made directly to the service provider by cash or card.

Where card payments are processed through the Platform, RescueMe.ie acts solely as a payment facilitator.

RescueMe.ie is not responsible for payment disputes between customers and service providers.

6. Emergency Situations

RescueMe.ie is not an emergency service.

In cases involving:

  • Road traffic accidents
  • Medical emergencies
  • Dangerous road conditions

Users should contact emergency services by dialling 999 or 112.

7. Location Services

The RescueMe.ie app may use location services to help connect drivers with nearby providers.

Users are responsible for ensuring location permissions are enabled on their device.

RescueMe.ie cannot guarantee the accuracy of location data or the availability of nearby providers.

8. Provider Verification

Service providers may be required to upload documentation including driving licence and insurance information.

While RescueMe.ie may review these documents, the platform does not guarantee their accuracy or validity.

9. Provider Removal

RescueMe.ie reserves the right to remove any provider from the Platform at its discretion.

This may occur where:

  • Documentation is missing or invalid
  • Complaints are received
  • Platform standards are not maintained
  • Terms of use are breached

10. Acceptable Use

Users must not misuse the Platform including but not limited to:

  • Submitting false service requests
  • Harassing service providers
  • Attempting to disrupt the Platform
  • Using the Platform for illegal activity

11. Platform Availability

RescueMe.ie does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or mobile applications.

The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis.

12. Intellectual Property

All content including branding, logos, design, text and software is the property of RescueMe.ie and may not be reproduced without permission.

13. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with Irish and EU data protection laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

14. Changes to Terms

RescueMe.ie may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

Updated versions will be published on the website and app.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
